Bar-headed Goose
India is one of the most important wintering grounds for this beautiful and declining Anser species. Bar-heads are acknowledged to reach most impressive altitudes on their migration across the Himalayas. Bhindawas held about 200 Bar-heads and over a thousand Greylags when we visited.

Eurasian Spoonbills
This specialized feeder with a spatulate bill is commoner in the western parts of India. Bhindawas held a few hundred on the date of our visit.
