Nayan Khanolkar

A research fellow with BNHS, he took to wildlife photography just where he should have - in the wild, at the Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur. There, in the company of professional wildlife photographers, he chose a better way to connect with nature. Soon he gave up his job and worked as a freelance lecturer to finance his passion.
Wildlife photography has taken him from cold deserts of Ladakh to blue lagoons of Lakshadweep. In the course, he captured many aspects of wildlife. But in his extensive collection (exceeding 5000 images) we see a bias towards birds. Sometime in the near future, he aims at developing an elaborate pictorial library of birds of India featuring their entire lifecycle.
