Species details
The Short-eared
Owl is a widespread winter visitor to India. This species is found in
all parts of the world except Australia and, of course, Antarctica. It
is easier to spot in dry open country because of its habit of resting
under a bush during the day. Interestingly, this owl is diurnal,
crepuscular as well as nocturnal - making the best of all times of the
day and night! 38cms, sexes alike.
