In a
chilly winter morning an Osprey is taking off from the top of a dry tree
in Ranthambhore National Park, Rajasthan India.
Species details
Ospreys are the
ultimate fish hunters and visit India in large numbers during our
winter. This large (56cm) eagle-like raptor can be found near coasts,
rivers, lakes waiting patiently for its prey. The Osprey's hunting dive
is an avian spectacle.
