Shoot details
This photo was
taken while sitting inside the forest rest house while trying to beat
some bad weather and strong wind outside. The wind had killed a lot of
insects which attracted the Magpies. The tail arced upwards due to
the prevailing strong winds.
Species details
This
spectacular corvid sports a characteristic long tail and bright bill and
legs. The Yellow-billed comes in at 66cms and is usually found in high
Himalayan temperate mixed forests. Sexes alike.
