Shoot details
This photograph
was shot in Ooty in The Nilgiris in Tamilnadu when birding with Clement
in early 2007. He expertly tracked down the tiny bird by just its call,
and we spent several hours behind it before it showed up in open for
some photos!
Species details
This 13cm
flycatcher is endemic to the 'Shola' forests of the Western Ghats in
southern India. Not easily observed, the species is energetic and wary.
The male is pictured here, females being duller.
