My focus on
photographing birds took me to various parts of India. A fascinating
journey! On my maiden visit outside Karnataka, I was delighted to see
and photograph this wonderful small winter visitor! An experience that
made me realize that it is possible to photograph small birds without
finding their nests :-)
Species details
The pretty
Bluethroat is a non-breeding migrant to India. Usually found in
wet and damp places, this robin is widespread in winter. The 15cm male
is shown here. Females are drab in comparison and lack the blue throat.
