The male Fairy
Bluebird, pictured here, is a spectacular bird of our moist foothill
forests. Widespread in South Asia, this species mainly occurs in the
Western Ghats, North-east and in the Andaman Islands in India. Size
27cms, the female is greenish blue with red eyes.
